The Starfish Circle
As we've established learning how to deal with stress, anxiety, and mental health is a a different journey for each of us. That being said, sometimes we can find strength in the work of others. Many of the most popular coping mechanisms are works of expression and art. I personally have written a lot of pieces about the things I feel, and often, even if I was scared, part of me wanted to put it into the world. I have a feeling this is a similar thing for lots of teenagers, and I want this to be a platform for you to share your own thoughts and feelings. I am trusting you with some of the work I have written to help me deal with the things I feel. If you want to post your own here, feel free to send it to me. If you'd like you can attach a name, it that's not comfortable a pseudonym or even no name at all, it's all up to you. My contact information is in the "Contact Me" tab.

This was one of my favorite pieces I've written. It's a story about two kids growing up and dealing with the fact that not everything can be solved with a game of make-believe.

Based on Lorrie Moore's "How to Become a Writer Or, Have You Earned This Cliche?" This was my attempt to put my experience with mental health into an easy to read format. Lorrie Moore's writing is linked as follows:
